Am I wrong?
I'm not full on throwing a fit before I get into this. It just irks me and I'm not sure if I'm right to be upset.
My husband and I don't get out. Between work, kids, and being in a rough spot financially, it's been way too long since we've gone out. Like, December of last year.
So my husband wins tickets to a nice dinner through his workplace. Not full on formal, but still nice. It starts at 4:30, we've got babysitters booked, and then we find out his side of the family has a get together planned that evening, starting around 5. It's a birthday celebration for his grandpa.
My problem is husband wants to cut things off at about 6 so we can go hang out with family. Normally I wouldn't mind, but this is the first night we'll be out in almost a year. We can see family any time, but a night out like this probably won't come by again for a good while.
I haven't actually said anything, but it's really bothering me. Like why bother to go at all if we're not going to stay more than an hour and a half?
I don't know if I'm being a bit bratty, or if I'm right to feel a little upset.
