Hi ladies, just wanted to share my experience with you. Monday evening I went in to L&D; for some contractions I was having. They checked my cervix and was at a 3 but looking on the monitor my contractions weren't close enough together and perceived as BH, I was discharged at 7pm. By 12 midnight, I was having what I thought to be the worst contractions I had ever experienced. Of course my boyfriend wasn't believing it was the real deal since we had just left hours before, so I stayed home for 3 hours timing my contractions. They were 3 minutes apart and to the point I was screaming through them, so I decided it was time to go back. Got back to L&D; around 3:15 AM and was at a solid 4, so they admitted me and got me right on an IV so I could get my epidural. By 5 AM I was at a 4 1/2 so I thought this was going to be a long labor. Nope, by 7 AM I was at an 8 and by 10 AM I was at a full 10cm and my water still hadn't broken on its own. I had two wait 2 1/2 hours for my doctor to come in to break my water because she was doing two other procedures before me. She went to break my water around 12:45 and thankfully I had a strong enough contraction that it broke on its own when she was checking me. I laid with the peanut ball between my legs to get baby to move down a little before pushing. Started pushing at 1:20 and had baby at 2:06. So ladies, don't feel silly for going right back to the hospital if you feel something is up! I was scared I would look silly since I am a FTM, but obviously I'm so glad I did!
