help! Too scared to check

Ok, bit of an odd one but I am on day 38 of my cycle, a whopping 10 days late...but I am too scared to take a test! Last month I really thought it was my month but AF made an appearance on day 35! (Previous months were around day 28\29)

I guess whilst I still haven't taken one I still have hope. I'm thinking of waiting till day 40. Am I being mad 🙈 I think I know the answer!
