Birth Control Options!

Hey There! I wanted to get some opinions from some other ladies about the different types of birth control. I’m 20, currently in a relationship with a military man who is gone 6 months out of the year on deployments but when he’s here we are very sexually active. We are always careful and use condoms as I am not on any birth control atm. My periods are dreaded each month because my cramps are debilitating and my flow is super super heavy. I have been on the pill before but it was prior to being sexually active and it never really helped the period symptoms so I got off of it. I’m looking for something to help with the period symptoms AND be effective when it comes to preventing pregnancy. I’m leaning towards the implant but open to hear any stories or opinions from others! thanks so much, I have an appointment next week and I want to have some sort of idea before going in lol!
