Regret having kids?

Question

Ok so I've never been the type of girl who could not wait to have babies. I actually hate babies. I know people say it's so much different when you have your own but what if I have kids and regret it? This world is such a horrible place anymore it makes me scared to bring anyone else into it. Honestly and without judgement do any moms on here regret having kids/wish they would have waited/done something differently? I'm curious to see if other women are hesitant like me. I feel like the only reason I might have kids is so I won't end up alone.

if you don't want them then don't have them its simple. you don't HAVE to have children, its a choice. I can't agree though i honestly cannot wait 🙂

Well I don't like kids. At all. like I'll play with a baby here and there but as soon as that kid cries.. Its go time. I don't feel connected to family members or friends kids. with that being said I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old who i am totally inlove with.  With my 1st it took a while.  But i was going thru alot. i lost my dad at the beginning of my pregnancey  and never dealt with it.. I had PPD after she was born and refused help. So that's pretty much my own fault and i feel guilty like i cheated her out of a better 1st year. my 2nd daughter it was instant. And i still don't like other people's kids lmao. idk why. mine i adore with my entire being. every other kid on the face of the earth is just like....eh. whatever. i do have days where im like... get the fuck away from me and just leave me alone.  but its days when my problems seep back in. its not them at all and i dont act ugly towards them as its not their faults.

I had my daughter at 18 because I was a reckless teenager and while she’s my absolute best friend, my life and hers would have been a lot easier if I had waited.

I think it's a biological thing to not regret your kids - you automatically love them and want to protect them from day 1. I don't really like other people's kids and always wondered if I wanted my own. 
That being said, there are mom's who get overwhelmed and it's 1000 times harder I imagine if it's not something you ever hoped or dreamed of. It's a pretty big gamble to take...what happens if you still don't want them, after you've had them?
I will say this - why the pressure to have a kid if you truly don't want one? You can have a fulfilling, awesome life that YOU dictate. You don't need to be alone either - have a partner, friends, family, mentors, whatever. Don't fall prey to the societal BS of needing to have a kid or your life will be empty/alone. Your life is what you make it...keep on doing you, no regrets, girl! All the best.

If you dont want kids do not have them. I have zero regrets having my son, no one said its easy being a parent...it is HARD, but never have I regreted having him, kids become your entire heart and there is no greater love :)

If you don’t want kids, don’t have them. I don’t for the same reasons as you. The world is shit and I honestly know I could handle having a hold depend on me.
