Help!!!

So I'm a Junior in hs and one of my friends told me of a guy that thought I was really cute. So she was telling me that he was gonna start snapchatting me or whatever(which I think is pretty immature but he's trying, I get it) So we just started talking on snapchat a few days ago and I feel like it's going no where. We don't really have any time to talk in person and whenever he comes up to my locker I can't think of anything to do except be really awkward. He does the exact same thing because we seriously have nothing in common. It's so bad and I'm trying to figure out a way to come up with stuff we could talk about but I just don't know how to get out the this awkward stage. Please let me know if I should keep trying and include some advice or if I should just drop it. I know this situation sounds so childish but I've never been in a serious relationship and I need to start somewhere. Help!!!!
