Period or implantation bleed- any advice please?

Ahh its never clear-cut is it ladies? Im on holiday with hubbie and a male bestie so I would really appreciate any girly advice! I have been having shortish cycles (26 days) but on 10dpo I had a small amount of pink spotting so disappointed I concluded it was the start of mother nature and was out. However 11 dpo nothing happened. Today is 12 dpo and my clearblue monitor countdown says my period date is 2 days away (14 dpo). Tested negative on first response this morning. I have had more and a mix of brown/ pink spotting today but not enough to show on underwear! I dont understand why my period wont establish itself! Could it be implantation bleeding (still?) or is this what usually happens before a period but because I wasnt totally obsessively checking myself before ttc I just never noticed? its our 6th month ttc and we had v.early M/c 1st month of trying in Jan. I know I can emotionally handle disappointment of not being pregnant and vice versa but I am finding the unknown and the swinging between the two incredibly hard. I know in my heart of hearts I just need to wait but easier said than done, especially holding the unknown. Any support/ advice would be appreciated xxx
