Light spotting 5 days before period.

I am VERY regular, like to the day. A few minutes ago I went to the bathroom and noticed I had light spotting. This is very unusual, my period isn't due for another 5 days. Could my period be coming this early? Sorry if I sound stupid but I have NEVER had a period come this early ever..
