Acetaminophen or ibuprofen for teething

How often do you give your baby acetaminophen or ibuprofen for suspected teething discomfort? I give it when my baby is acting fussy even if he has all his other needs taken care of (food, sleep, clean diaper). This is sometimes a few times a week and I feel bad either way. I feel bad for giving him medicine just to try to quiet him and I feel bad not giving medicine and thinking he might be in pain. FYI my baby is 12 months and has 7 teeth. I don't see any currently breaking through but in my mind that doesn't mean they aren't moving under the gums? Tell me I'm not the only one that struggles with deciding to give medicine?!
