Ten month old baby won't leave cat's tail alone.
My ten month old son is constantly grabbing my cat's tail and won't let go when my cat tries to leave. I always tell him no and pry his fingers off my cat's tail. Most of the time, my cat will endure it, but every once in a while, he will swat my son's hand. Keeping them separated isn't really an option because they love each other and my cat is often the one that seeks my baby out and lies down in front of him. My son isn't trying to be mean, he's just too rough and doesn't understand he's hurting/bothering the cat. Is there anything else I can do besides be consistant and stop it when I see it happening? My cat is no help since he endures it and is constantly seeking my son's attention. I'm not only worried about my cat being hurt, but also worried about my son being scratched more seriously than he is now. Anyone go through something similar with a submissive cat and well-meaning but iron handed baby? Picture of the dynamic duo, just because:
