Monster in Law

Tell me your best Monster in Law story.

Mine has recently told everyone in my family and my husband that I am going back to work (SAHM to a 1 year old) and she is taking a month off work to move in with us until I get childcare sorted. Obviously this is not happening. But she told everyone this while I was home putting baby to bed after his birthday meal as if it was something she and I had discussed. My mum was convinced it was a FACT based on the way she was told. It even caused an argument between my husband and I. We never argue.

There's more to this story including her shouting at me that I was an idiot when she found out it wasn't happening and that "everyone else has to put children in childcare. It's ONLY TEACHING HOURS anyway " when hubby pointed out that I didn't want to use full time childcare at the minute, but I shall leave it there.
