Toxoplasmosis.

I’m sooooo freaked out. I just took my moms cat to the vet. The vet was quite upset saying that because I’m pregnant I should not be around this cat period since he’s indoor/outdoor. Looked up symptoms and it says there are none- and that defects include brain damage and vision loss in an infected fetus 😭 I’m scared now. Just needed somewhere to vent a bit. I’m asking my OB on Wednesday to test me because I’ve been staying with my mom often and on top of all of this he had worms 😑 LOVELY. My mom thinks it’s not a big deal and that I need to stop freaking out. She clearly does not care about her grandchildren since my daughter is around this cat all the time and on top of that she puts her hand in her mouth often 🙄
