Man advice

I meet a guy at my work, he was super cute and cool, I couldn’t give him my number cause I was working so I decided to look for him online and I found him. I messaged him and gave him my number, we text when he’s not at work he’s a cop so he has weird hours.

I don’t know where this is going, s relationship or just friends, since we just started talking. I’m 20, he didn’t seem to mind at all, he is 38, I don’t think there is anything bad about our ages, what throws me off is that he’s been divorced, and we’re on different boats in life. Am I crazy for even talking to this guy?
