Pumping?

Hi ladies, FTM and really just started pumping.. I just started getting milk yesterday so today I pumped for about 20 mins and got 2 oz from each breast. My question is, how long and how often did you pump or feed? I'm kinda lost on how often I should be doing it and if I'm doing it long enough, thank you!

I exclusively pumped until I couldn't keep up and had to start supplementing with formula. But regardless I pumped every 2-3 hours to keep my supply going. If you aren't breastfeeding and just pumping then you need to pump at least every time baby has a bottle.

I also exclusively pump. In the beginning I pumped every 2 hours around the clock. The rule is when baby eats, I pump. I also don't time myself. I just pump until I am getting nothing.

You should latch also. a breast pump can only pull out 40% of your milk.
