Is this normal?
I got mirena put in yesterday, and for the rest of my period before that point, this one had been pretty heavy (RIP another pair of white underwear, murdered in the night). As of yesterday, there were two days left of my period (today is the last day).
I know mirena starts working immediately, and that periods become lighter or stop completely, but every time I've changed my pad since, it's suddenly really light. Idk I guess I'm just nervous because it's even more immediately than I expected.
The doctor didn't tell me my period would get immediately lighter, I assumed that wouldn't happen until my next period and that this one would just finish up like normal. Maybe it's just a coincidence, or I'm worrying too much. Has anyone else experienced this?
Tmi side note: is anyone else nervous to poop or flex their abdomen/pelvis or is that just me? Like, that any sort of strain or pressure might push it out? Or that pushing anything against it (fingers, a tampon applicator, dick, etc) would either push it further in or otherwise mess with its position? Tbh I don't really know how the cervix works, but then again if it's supposed to hold a fetus/baby inside for nine months, I guess it could easily hold a little plastic T.
