Cry it out by accident

I feel awful! We had to basically just let our almost four month old cry it out for bedtime. I did her normal bedtime routine, nursed her then put her down without any problems. Then 30 minutes later she was up and basically inconsolable. Tried everything to calm her down and get her back to sleep but she wasn’t having it. Finally after an hour and another feeding had to let her cry which lasted about 10 minutes from the last time I went in. I’m not totally against sleep training but didn’t ever plan on letting her do that this young! This was just so unlike her tonight she usually falls asleep without any problems.
