Scar tissue from LEEP procedure... delays dilation
I had regular contractions all evening going from 4-5 minutes apart to 2-3 minutes apart and ended up going to L&d; around 9:30. On the monitor it showed contractions 2-3 minutes apart but I was only at a 2 dilated. I walked around and they got stronger and I thinned out almost completely but no changes in dilation. The nurse mentioned that It will probably take me a lot longer to dilate because of the scar tissue from the LEEP procedure I had two years ago. I went home and was able to fall asleep when I woke up the contractions aren’t as strong and much further apart. Anyone else experience trouble dilating due to scar tissue on the cervix?
