Salt Pregnancy Test *UPDATE* BFP!

So first and foremost, please no negative comments, yes I have the money for a pregnancy test. I know you can get cheap ones but I am still early on. Only 6 dpo, but as I’m sure many of you lovely ladies who are ttc can understand, I am searching for any sign that I may be pregnant. And the salt test seems to get early results.

I couldn’t help myself and took a cheap test today which of course was a BFN but I have seen online different DIY HPTs and thought I’d give the salt one a try. I’ve read varying results with these and just wanted others options and, hopefully, stories about their results and whether they were accurate. According to the internet my salt test is positive. Thoughts? Any success with this test?

I’ve seen other woman put down and criticized a lot for asking about these DIY tests so please only helpful comments. I just want a baby like everyone else on here and am searching for signs. We are supposed to be here to support each other. Thanks for reading.

*Clarification and update*...when I first posted this, my auto correct was apparently super optimistic and I accidentally said I had received my BFP. This is not the case. I meant to say BFN. So just to clarify, as of today, 7dpo, I have yet to have a positive hpt. ...I did however try the salt test again with FMU and it seems to be reacting even quicker and I also took an a LH test last night and today and it is getting darker. Idk if any of these are truly accurate in predicting pregnancy, but I can’t just sit here and stare at BFNs everyday praying for a second line. This is at least keeping me busy and I am interested to see if any of these “hacks” or “DIYs” end up being at all reliable. If not? ....then I guess it was all in fun and something to keep me busy during the dreaded TWW.

Also, I just want to mention that this is the only DIY pregnancy test I am going to do. I realize how dangerous some of them can be, particularly the bleach, so I only ever planned on doing the salt experiment 😊👍 Thanks everyone for reading and responding!!!

So I wanted a base line for this test and so I had my 13 year old pee in a cup for me lol. I know without a doubt that she could not be pregnant. Long story short...she got the same results as me. Soooo...I’m leaning towards this salt test diy thing not being so accurate lol

Only 7dpo so definitely not out yet! Just gonna keep on waiting 🤦‍♀️😂

So yesterday I had my best friend try the salt test as well and he happens to be a man lol. Anyway. Apparently he is pregnant too 🤦‍♀️

So even though I don’t know if I hold much stock in this diy test I have to say I have been receiving some vfls and I got a blood test yesterday that confirmed pregnancy!!! I have to go back tomorrow for another blood test to make sure my levels are rising but as of now...we are pregnant!!! Sending truck loads of baby dust to all you ladies!!! 💜💜💜
