Calling him papi? 🤔😂

Ok so my bf and I are not Mexican or even close to it. I always call him daddy he calls me momma or mami 🤷🏻‍♀️ but when we were having sex last week he all of a sudden starts calling me mami cita and then hesall like call me papi I'm like 🤔🤔🤔🤔🙂😂😂😂😂 okkk where did this come from? This sounds stupid as hell but I thought Like are u having sexual altercations with some Mexican female who calls u this? It's soon new to me iv been with him for years I just thought this was weird should I be concerned or is this maybe just something he wished I caled him before but ddnt have the nerve to say it until now please let me know your thoughts ladies I wanted to ask him after we had sex but I thought I was being crazy should I ask him about it ?
