What to do next?!!!

So I was suppose to come on my period Friday(10/13/17) last night I went to use the bathroom and I noticed I had brown discharge in my panties and usually my period comes on like clock work, and it’ll usually start off brown then when I use the bathroom my pee will be bright red and yellow because of the blood. But this morning I went to the bathroom and used the bathroom and it wasn’t like that. I just had a small amount of brown discharge on my pad. What does that mean?
