does my belly piercing look infected?

i just got it on wednesday of last week and ive been hitting it by accident because i forget that its there. i been cleaning it with h20 and washing it off afterwards bc they told me to do that. the redness doesnt go away and i feel a bump where its red but i cant physically see a bump i just feel it, it doesnt hurt or anything though so is it infected??

No it doesn’t. Mine took two years to whole. You have to constantly clean it with warm salt water and not snag it on anything

Doesn’t look jnfected (yet) but definitely needs keeping an eye on. Instead of using just water, use salt water. I’ve used it on all 13 of my piercings including my belly, and every time my piercings have healed quicker than expected and none have got infected or been rejected. Using just water won’t really do much in terms of cleaning and sterilising it. It’s good to get a cotton bud and dip it in the salt water and then clean around the wound, slide the bar up and clean it, then slide it down and clean it. Try not to catch it and if you keep doing it by habit you can always place a plaster loosely over it until you get used to it. Good luck 🙂
