Breast milk or formula?

I plan on breastfeeding mainly but using formula when it’s absolutely necessary. My obgyn said this is completely fine. I just wanted to see what you mom’s do😌

As long as baby gets enough to eat 😁 fed is best.

I used an ounce of formula for the first week after each breastfeeding session until my milk really kicked in. Now I have a few bags pumped so if my baby needs a bottle I use pumped milk instead

I wanted to strictly breastfeed my son but he wasn't latching right and I wasn't producing enough. If your body let's u breastfeed your LO and your baby latches right go for breastfeeding! It's beneficial for u and baby. I probably wouldn't have had bad postpartum depression if I had breastfed my son.

The first couple of weeks of Breast feeding is so beneficial for you and baby!  Not only does it give the baby the Colostrum from the first feeds, but also for the vital skin on skin contact that enhances the bond between you and your baby! Of course every mum if different and there's no right and wrong, it's all personal preference ☺️

So many factors go into the decision. You get to make it though. Don't let ANYONE shame you for whatever decision you make. If you hear someone starting to give unsolicited advice- SHUT IT DOWN!

Feed your baby. That’s what’s important. I should have supplemented at first with my daughter. She would latch, but never suckled. I even saw a pro, and she had no idea why she wouldn’t suckle on the breast. She ended up with severe jaundice because her body wasn’t passing enough, because she wasn’t eating enough. I eventually stopped trying to breastfeed, and exclusively pumped. I pumped for her for over four weeks, after which my milk dried up very quickly.
