Metformin??

Question

Has any one ever been prescribed “Metformin” to help with infertility and weight loss? For those of you who don’t know “Metformin” is a drug usually prescribed to diabetics.

I have PCOS but no weight issues, no diabetes, no insulin issue. The doctor gave me Metformin and I took it for 2 weeks before I stopped because it made me really sick. I had been TTC for 11 months, and temped every month. I never ovulated. After metformin, I got a sustained temperature rise! Metformin made me ovulate

I was prescribed it for weight loss and to help me ovulate. I lost 10 pounds and got pregnant on cycle three! Everyone's body is different, you will hear stories from both sides. Whether it's good or bad. The only thing you can do is try it, eat extremely healthy and exercise. Within a few weeks/months you will know if it works for you.
