Enlarged cisterna magna, ultrasound today

Jess

At my repeat anatomy scan at 26 weeks I was told my sweet daughter had an enlarged cisterna magna (area where brain and spinal cord attach). Was told it could mean a number of things, or nothing at all, but that it would be closely monitored. We were sent to another ultrasound 2 weeks later with a doctor. Still enlarged. He told us the same, could be a marker for multiple things, but could also just be a “variant of normal” as there have been no other markers on any ultrasounds. We were then sent to a genetics counselor who offered amnio and blood tests, which we declined. Scheduled another ultrasound a month later, which is today. I have been so anxious about this, it’s all I think about. Dr says if it is the same size or smaller then it’s a great sign. If it has grown then time to look more closely at further genetic testing. The PA I saw last appointment also said they’ll probably want me in weekly after this, to do ultrasounds and PPT tests. This is my rainbow baby and I just want her to be happy and healthy 💗💔 wish me luck today
