Hades Question

So I was talking with a friend (jokingly) about couples costumes. I said "Persephone and Hades" she immediately responds "why would you want to be a rape and kidnap victim". Obviously I know Persephone was kidnapped, but I had never heard of her being raped. I looked into it a little, and apperantly people think this is the case. However, Greek Mythology isn't really shy about rape, so why would they make up a 'cover' of abduction? Since Hades is seen as evil, what would covering rape do for him? Anyways I just wanted to see what y'all thought.
