Do you recommend getting a postpartum belly band?

Question

If you do recommend getting one, which brand do you recommend and where did you get it? If you don’t, how come? Is there a certain reason, price? Unnecessary? Other? 
I’m due next Friday and was looking into them and I wanted to see what you ladies thought! Thank you in advanced!

I recommend waiting to see if you actually need it. I researched them like crazy and was prepared to buy high-end one and then 4 weeks after giving birth I looked like I had never been pregnant. It would have been a waste

This photo was taken almost 4 weeks after I had my daughter. I wore a regular girdle from Walmart starting the day after I gave birth , I literally never took it off unless I was showering. When it got loose I shrunk it in the dryer and then my sister let me borrow her BelleFit PP girdle, I wore it by itself for a few days and it works so well after about 3-4 days it was loose so i shrunk it and then wore it along with my regular girdle I started out with. Now I’ll wear one or the other occasionally at night just to keep things tight. 
So YES I would highly recommend a belly band or a girdle of any sort really lol as long as it’s tight it will work.

Amazon.com  You should find one there but let me tell you its absolutely helpful and important to wear one. even if you look fabulous right after, you need to support your back and help your abdomen muscles close and also help your uterus find its way back plus help your hip ligaments get back. In my culture we wear one no ifs for at least six months. It helps so much with loose skin i mean there are out there for a reason.

I got the belly bandit and I bought it off poshmark bc I wasn’t paying $80 for one.

definitely yes! I went out of the hospital with my baby in hands, but looking like 5 months pregnant, cried so much that my mom ran and bought me an all body band, and the next day my belly dissapeared...now, then days later my stomach looks amazing, a bit overweight I am, but the curves are there. In my case I have to use one two sizes bigger than my regular fit (I gained 40 pounds, but afterbirth lost 20).

I just used a spanx tank top and it accomplished the same thing for half the cost- and I can still use it.  It moved things back into shape very quickly after I had my son.

Ask the hospital for one and you’ll get it “free”. I researched a ton and bought an 80$ binder. Asked for one after my c section at the hospital and just used that one and brought my other back. They’re amazing. After my five days I was in all my pregnancy shorts.

I bought a waist trainer ($60) and both pregnancies wasn't disappointed!! using it for when my 3rd baby is born (she is due March) so I can bounce back with it lol
