I was just wondering if anyone has had prior experience with a cerclage. This is my first cerclage and I am terrified that I will do something that will cause for it to fail.

I had a cerclage place exactly a week ago today. I went in for a cervical ultrasound last Monday due to a history of premature rupture of membranes. My cervix was shortening and it was decided that I would get a cerclage placed. Lucky after I had a pelvic exam and they told me I wasn't dilating which was a good thing.

So the cerclage was placed and I had my follow up appointment yesterday and my cervix looks good. It went from 1.5 cm to 1.7cm, it's not much but I'll take it as long as my baby girl makes it to term.
