I remember that a friend told me she had to stop breastfeedig because her son got a teeth around 1-2 months (so it was too painful). I'm planning on asking her more about that time but thought I could post it here too. how did you notice your child started teething? how did he/she act while breastfeeding and at other moments?

My daughter is 5 weeks and sometimes I think she's hungry because she puts her hands in her mouth or anything else that is close to her. So I nurse her but she latches on for a short time and then gets all fussy and pushes herself from me and starts sucking/chewing on her hands. I haven't notice anything different on her gums. Could it be that she is already teething?
