Long story short, I lost my current nuvaring. I think I flushed it down the toilet. I haven’t been wearing it for a few days but I was supposed to take it out on the 22nd. What should I do?

So a few days ago I was stupid and used a plastic tampon applicator to insert my nuvaring. I cut myself and there was a decent amount of blood so I took my ring out and wrapped it in a paper towel. I think I accidentally flushed this down the toilet because I can’t find it anywhere. I haven’t been wearing a ring for a few days but I was supposed to take it out on the 22nd anyways. Should I insert the next months or wait? (I KNOW I NEED TO USE A BACKUP METHOD FOR PROTECTION BUT IT WON’T LET ME WRITE THAT MANY WORDS IN THE DESCRIPTION) 😂
