Silly labor question - what did you do with your hair??

I'm currently pregnant with number 2. During the 31 hours of labor with baby #1 I managed to turn my hair into one GIANT knot... I actually damaged it so much that I had to get a hair cut shortly after.

How did you ladies wear your hair to protect it? Or is it just going to be an inevitable cut again?

Side note: it was a natural labor so I was all over the place trying to handle the pain.. walking, in the shower, on the ball etc..

Edit: I actually did have it in a bun on the top of my head but my hair never stays in a bun or pony tail. It sounds like I'm doing braids this time around! 😂 thanks everyone!!
