what form of birth control do you use?

Hey ladies! 
I’ve been researching birth control and I can’t decide which form to go with. I’ve tried the patch and I wasn’t really a fan, but I’m thinking of trying the pill. Does anyone take the pill and really enjoy it? Any side effects? My biggest concern is the nausea and vomiting.

I use the cervical cap (FemCap) with spermicide, because I didn’t want to mess with my hormone levels. I’ve been happy with it so far, although it took a bit of effort to get it through my doctor.

I use none of the above. Turned out I couldn't handle hormonal birth control (got depressed) so I started using Natural Cycles about a year ago. I'm loving it and it has been working perfectly for us so far. 😊

Iv only had the pill and the shot. Pill gave me no period with 2 tiny side effects. The shot made me bleed the whole 3 months and ruined my sex life along with gaining 12lbs itchy body and severe moodiness never again with the shot.

I use the pill, but I am not using it really to prevent pregnancy. I mean, I am, but it’s because I had some problems with regular periods coming back after a D&C; in January. My doctor said if we can suppress ovulation for a few months, it will probably jumpstart ovulation again for me. With that said, I’ve gotten pregnant on birth control more than once. After our next baby, I have full intentions of getting an IUD until we’re ready for a third (if we are ever ready for a third).

I took the pill for about 2 years. It made me really moody and irritable. My husband and I agreed that it didn’t make me feel good and I was much more myself when I wasn’t on it, so I stopped taking it. I stopped taking it in January of 2015. In December of 2015 I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. In March of 2016 I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s autoimmune thyroiditis. In April of 2017 I had lab work done that showed that my estrogen was elevated, my testosterone was elevated, and that my progesterone was really low. Everyone is different, but I believe that the pill lead to my hormone imbalance which led to my autoimmune disorder. The autoimmune disorder wasn’t a direct side effect of the pill, but the resulting hormone balance triggered my genetic disposition and the onset of the disease. Birth control can work for many women, but it is important to consider the ramifications and what it can do to your body. I will never use the pill again and will make sure my future daughter(s) understand the risks and make a wise choice.

I use the nuvaring and I completely love it. Best choice I ever made. No symptoms at all and I’ve had it for over a year. I’ve let him finish in me plenty of times and nothing ever happened. Reminder: just cause it works for me, doesn’t mean it will work for you.

I vomited a few times when I started a birth control, but then that went away when I started taking it with a meal. But it still killed my sex drive, so I decided to try an iud (also because I’m forgetful). Love it. Would recommend and am willing to answer any questions
