Random bleeding

So last night I had sex with my boyfriend for the first time in over a week. My period ended 2 weeks ago but for some reason last night after sex I started bleeding really red blood. It literally lasted maybe an hour but why? We did have sex while I was ovulating but he didn't cum in me. I'm confused!?! Help?!?
