I put more than 9 weeks because I thought you meant how long you were in pain for. my first Bay had a 15 inch head.... my vag hurt for like 6-8 months after him... but I was still able to do house work and everything pretty much right away.

After my first delivery with forceps I didn’t recover for between 6-9 MONTHS. After my second, a day tops. Unmedicated, 2 pushes and done. I know this third won’t be as easy so I’m dreading the birth already 💔

With my first I had a ton of pressure from others to get the house all perfect and be the wonder mom. Totally drained myself and I’m so mad I let them boss me around like that. 
With my second I planned to do the whole “lying in” thing but he came 4 weeks early and had a stint in the NICU. So we kinda got that mommy and baby alone time as my husband had to return to work and my oldest was with Grammie. Still not the same though as I was discharged from the hospital 2 hours after delivery so I could follow baby to the NICU (different hospital) and then was up round the clock taking care of him. (The nurses did medical stuff but I did all the rest)
As long as this baby girl is healthy we’re lying in dang it! 1 week in bed with baby, bonding, nursing, napping, relaxing and getting to know one another. Then I’m taking the rest of the month slow. No church volunteering (i’m the children’s director), no taking the big to preschool or volunteering in his class (I’ll arrange drop off/pick up), and not even any grocery shopping. My husband can get things on his way home plus I feed the Freezer before baby. 
It took forever for me to heal from my other births because I was just too active. I’m not doing that again.

I’d say like 4 weeks. I was pretty much back to normal after 4 days honestly. My labor/birth was quick and easy. And I only had one very small perineal tear. At first they said I didn’t have any testing, then they found that.

Exercise and sex took 6 weeks, I didn’t want to risk anything before the time my doctor told me. Household chores and mundane tasks happened days after I gave birth.
