new mum- (period/ c section)

I've had my little girl in the August after a emergency section. Im just getting a period now, it heavy and painful. I'm taking painkiller. 2 paracetamol and 1 ibuprofen. -.- Im still having pain from the section too. any tips for the pain.? is this normal after a section.
