ok. so my now ex manager and i had quickly grown to be really good friends, he is a mentor, an inspiration, and had taught me so much. He's a great guy and i really would like it if my husband didn't seem so weird about us being friends. anytime i meeting anything to hubby about him, his words on paper are supportive but his non verbal communication says exactly the opposite. i have asked him about it and he refuses to talk about it. I'm always met with "everything's fine" or "I'm okay". i dont need them to be best friends, just for husband to be more supportive of our friendship. (husband is 17 years older than me, my friend is 22 years older but absolutely no romantic competition, no idea if thats in his mind, or jealous of the inspiration my friend is too me.) How do i talk to him about it if he won't? and my friend had invited both husband and i over to his place a few times and husband doesn't want to becausr is too far too drive. oy.
