Help!!! Baby acne?!!!!

Question

My son is 4 weeks 3 days and he’s had this flare up for about a week and a half! Everyone keeps saying it’s baby acne but I feel like it’s some sort of hives or allergic reaction to what...I don’t know but FTM here should I be worried and how can I clear this up? Thank you

It’s just baby acne according to the doctor! Better safe than sorry, it just looked severe to me. Thanks for the comments and help ladies

my baby was allergic to cow milk, which I found out a lot of babies can be. if your breastfeeding you can have him take a bath in breastmilk to help the skin

We are going to take an ER trip tomorrow when my husband can drive us, til then I’m going to try an oatmeal and breast milk bath.

If your gut feeling tells you to get your baby checked out, do it. I have 4 kids ages from 18 to 9 weeks and I will take them in just to get peace of mind. When I had my first daughter I was 19 and had her doctor on speed dial 😁. Good luck Momma!!

my baby looked like that after I used baby wash on her, switched soaps and it cleared up within a few days

I just posted something similar! Not sure if yours has what mine has, but her doctor says she has folliculitis. I think it’s similar to a staph infection. He prescribed her Amoxicillin yesterday and said to apply hydrocortisone cream. The one that is more red was taken early and the bottom one is just now. I think it’s working already. She also has it on her back and chest. Hope this helps!
