Pain in lower right abdomen?

Question

I went to my doctor thinking I had a kidney/bladder/UTI but don’t. 
However, when my bladder empties I have an awful contraction-like pain on my lower right side (not like labor, more an isolated muscle contraction). 
Has anyone ever experienced something like this? Kidney stone? Appendix? It’s only when I empty my bladder but lasts for over an hour. :(

How awful is the pain? I had a ruptured appendix this year and that’s nothing to fuck with. My appendix was stuck behind another organ so instead of being isolated to my right lower quadrant it as throughout my abdomen and my dumb ass thought it was my period until a couple hours before it blew up.

At 12 weeks pregnant I got really bad right side pain by my belly button about 24 hours later it went down to my lower right side. It didn’t matter what I did, I was in pain all the time. When i peed, when I stood up, when I moved I was in terrible pain. After almost 30 something hours they finally were able to see I had appendicitis and prepped me for surgery ASAP. The pain was so bad it made me throw up. Just happy the surgery went well and the baby is fine, I’m still recovering. Praying you don’t have appendicitis, I would t wish that pain on anyone. Are you pregnant? Pregnant women tend to get swelling of the right kidney and ureter (tube that empties the kidney to the bladder) and this can cause pain. Unfortunately the treatment is conservative unless your pain is severe and then urology can put a stent in the right kidney to help it drain better. The stent is no joke though and many women say it’s worse to have the stent.
