Keto and Marijuana

Hey, ladies. I’m a moderate-heavy smoker (1-2 times a day, sometimes much heavier on weekends). I only go through about 2-3 grams a week, though, as I’m frankly a lightweight. It is legal in my state, just to clarify, and I’m not looking for judgment or rude comments about pot.

I started Keto four weeks ago. I am lenient on the weekend, but I try to isolate that to one day. I also try to limit it to 1-2 deviations. I know that’s not suggested at all on Keto, and certainly not so early in changing lifestyles, but it’s been a great system for me...plus my husband is not doing Keto with me, so it makes weekends easier.

I have lost 20 lbs in those four weeks. Smoking hasn’t seemed to impact my weight loss or ketosis in general, but I am curious as to if I will get clean faster while on Keto (I do get munchy, but I usually pair that with a real meal that I’ve thought out before smoking). After tomorrow, I am also going to cut out any leniency in the diet until I’m clean, also.

I have about 2-3 grams left, which I plan on chain-smoking tomorrow, and then I’m going to quit until I can solidly pass a test. I am not in a situation where I need to pass a drug test or anything, I’m just curious how long it will take, plus my husband and I are going to start trying to conceive soon. I recently was smoking a similar amount, not dieting at all, and was clean (on a 25ng test) in about 40-45 days.

Has anyone tried this? What was your result? My hypothesis is that the fat being burned will cause an initial increase in metabolites in the urine, but with good hydration, and abstaining from marijuana, that I’ll be clean in 15-20 days. Maybe I’m totally wrong, but you don’t know unless you try, right? I’ve done lots of research online, but there doesn’t seem to be any solid answers. I’ll post results for anyone who is interested.
