Dieting doesn’t. Eating healthy does. 
When I think of dieting I think of all those phase dieting you see on Pinterest / starving yourself.

I would say it works, but not long term. You WILL gain it back and possibly more. Healthy eating and a bit of exersise should give you long term results.

I go with a mixture..... I did healthy eating for 12 months, lost 3 stone and then it just ground to a stop, I then switched and  I did a very low calorie diet for 4 months, losing 4.5 stone, then lost a further stone whilst putting food back into my diet.... in total I’ve lost 8.5 stone and I have kept it off for over 6 years now... I eat differently than before, but by no means have I switched to a healthy diet.... instead of 6 chocolate bars a day I have one..... I feel the trick is everything in moderation, you want it then eat it but small portions and just be mindful..... everyone is different but yes go healthy where you can but don’t lose out on the good stuff 😂😂
