My birth story!

Hannah

My little girl was born at 36+6 weeks weighing 6lbs 14oz on the 19th October.

On the 18th October I had my routine appointment with the community midwife. On her arrival she does all my observations and noticed that my blood pressure was extremely high and had large amounts of protein in my wee. She told me to go to the maternity ward at my local hospital where I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and was admitted straight away. At 10pm they told me they would be inducing by placing a tablet behind my cervix to soften it. However they checked my cervix and I was already 3cm dilated and they could feel my waters so the doctor was brought I. And she popped my water and started me on a pitocin drip to encourage contractions. I started on gas and air but eventually got too tired and was in immense pain so I opted for the epidural. The doctor administered an epidural for me but it only took effect of one half of my body so they had to reposition it. At 6.40am I was told to start pushing and by 6:55am she was here!!

Welcome to the world Amelia 💕 mummy and daddy are so so in love with you ❤️❤️❤️
