Help? I’m allergic to something the hand soap at work.

Question

So I’ve found out I’m allergic to a chemical in industrial hand soaps (the stuff you find in public places). I have to start taking my own soap to work (I’m going to be THAT person lol). In the meantime, do any of you know what I can put on my hands to stop them from feeling like they’re on fire 24/7 and get rid of the hives? Please and thank you!!

Try a Benadryl or get some Benadryl cream. It’s not drowsy like the pill

i had a very simalair rash on my hands that burned for days from using some kind of cleaning crap at my work. i avoided washing them with warm water because it seemed to dry it out more and make it worse and i liberally put on aveeno eczema lotion on it several times a day and it seemed to help alot. hope it goes away for you soon!

do you wear latex gloves at work? just checking to see if it really is the soap. use lotion in between washing hands.

I literally just got over a very similar rash. Mine was all over my arms/legs and the burn/itch was insane.
I was advised (by my doctor) to try hydrocortisone cream + benedryl.. It did not work for me but might help you. 
If that doesn't help, go to your doctor, they'll most likely give you a corticosteroid (I was prescribed prednisone) it cleared it right up!

Maybe try hydrocortisone cream? You can get some over the counter and it's usually good for skin irritations.
