I want to take the next step.

My boyfriend and I have been together for a little over a year. When I came over he said “my roommates are all moving out and I have to find new ones. My roommate ____ is moving in with his girlfriend. I guess that’s good that they’re taking the next step in their relationship.” He has talked about me moving in a couple times but I wouldn’t be able to do it until the summer. Is there any other things we could possibly do to take another step forward in relationship?
