First time and I scored a UTI

I just had sex for the first time (it was not that bad. my boyfriend was amazing the whole time.) last Thursday. We had (much much much) better sex the next night, but both times I forgot to go to the bathroom before/after bc my mind, obviously, was not thinking properly. Woke up today and discovered, ya girl scored a UTI after the second time. *sarcasm* Awesome! I know to drink cranberry juice to alleviate the symptoms and to get meds, but I have amoxicillin (prescription) for my acne. Can I just take that and hope it works?

Edit: I read multiple places that amox works sometimes 🤷🏽‍♀️
