which carseat??

Question

I'm a ftm and was wanting to get this carseat for my daughter that will be born in January but my mother in law was wanting to get a us a 3 in 1 carseat rather than this one for the sake of longer use. I wanted to get your guys opinions on which carseat you would prefer and the safest carseat! other suggestions of carseats are wanted! I only want the best for my little one😊

We got a travel system and used the infant car seat until he was almost 6 months, then we switched to the Graco 4ever. We technically could have used the 4ever from the beginning, but when he was really little, it was more convenient to have the removable infant seat in case he fell asleep, etc. We love the Graco 4ever, though! He can use it until he's 120lbs!

I had one but in black for my LO . I loved it. The infant support was so much better than other brands I tried and used. No baby slumping over. I prefer this one to more expensive brands, no need to break the bank on an infant seat but this one is nice for the $$$. It’s very cushioned too. As for the comment about being worried that baby would have their face in the cushion that was never a problem and I honestly can’t see it being after using it. I definitely recommend it. Here’s a pic of my LO in hers.

I have the nuna pipa. Baby is due in May but the car seat is sooo lightweight, good quality and looks pretty too.

I have the Graco Pace travel system and love it. I had originally considered getting a convertible car seat, but we want 4 kids and want them spaced fairly close together, so it makes more sense to have a designated baby car seat and then a toddler/big kid car seat once she can fit that, so the next baby can use the infant car seat. Hopefully that makes sense. I just think it's important to consider your options based on what you want in your future.

If you go with a saftey first infant seat I suggest the onboard. the material is a lot better than the one you mentioned above. I personally got an infant seat (then later on got a convertible) because it was so easy to get the baby out while sleeping (you just grab the entire seat). but if you get a convertible now, you have to take the sleeping baby out of the carseat (which hostels baby awake). plus the infant seat can have a cover that protects baby from rain.

We have the safety first grow & go convertible car seat and love it. Easy to install and move. It has the anchors and seatbelt hook up.

the reason I don't like car seats like this one is bc of the pillow like thing. Babies put their heads to the side a lot. freaks me out bc if the suffocation factor. I have a travel system and I like it

I don't like safety first. My first born had one and I was driving on the highway and discovered he had completely pulled the strap out of the carseat and was hanging out of the side trying to get  out. I immediately told them and they sent some anchor thing but at that point I just threw it away and bought a convertible one.

We decided against a 3 in one seat after watching our friend having to unbuckle and take out a sleeping baby every time they needed to get the baby out of the car leaving them with an upset baby rather taking out seat and all while leaving baby happily asleep.
