Nexplanon Implant Insertion
So I had my Nexplanon inserted today...and after the hell I gave myself worrying about the insertion I thought there might be other women out there not sure about the idea and their pain tolerance. So here’s my experience with it!!
I’ll start off by saying I have a very low pain tolerance and any visit with a doctor makes me INCREDIBLY anxious. So today was basically hell on earth for me worrying myself to death!!
BUT after it’s all said and done, I can say with quite a bit of certainty that it is not NEARLY as bad as you think it is! The numbing shot was the worst part of it all, the medication stings and they have to insert it over and over to make sure the ENTIRE insertion site is numb. After that, the actual insertion is a breeze and you only feel minor tugging at the skin where it is being inserted, no pain at all.
Of course, I can’t tell you what it looked like, I felt much better looking away and having no idea exactly what was going down over there. But I can say a lot of my worry was for nothing because it was not a terrible experience at all.
I hope the rest of the implant experience is good as well and there are no major side effects for me :)
