Anti fungal cream supposed to leak out?? Please help

I am for the first time experiencing a vaginal yeast infection, and I’ve purchased an over the counter anti fungal cream. I’ve inserted it exactly as it said, and now a few hours later the cream is coming out? I inserted the full length of the applicator so I’m not sure if it’s meant to be leaking out or not? I would appreciate if someone could tell me if this is normal or not, thank you 🙃
