Bf won't come with me for my iud insertion

Hey all , so I'm 18 and I'm getting an iud today ! I wasn't worried ab it until a couple days ago when I started looking at YouTube videos so I'd understand the procedure better and a lot of people say it hurts . I do not have a high pain tolerance so im REALLY scared. A lot of people said it helped to have someone in the room who's hand you could hold and who could drive u home after . So I asked my bf and he said he could drive me home after but he doesn't want to be in the room with me . I'd never want him to do anything he was super uncomfortable/unwilling to ... but I'm feeling hurt he would let me go through that alone ? I'm kind of really upset . Would u be upset ? What should i do ?!
