High BP, negative blood test results?

I'm 35 weeks pregnant exactly. My blood pressure was high at my last prenatal visit. my doctor got my blood tested to check for any kidney or liver issues and nothing, so she said I was fine, just stressed/nervous, which I was. Now I went in for a non OBGYN appointment (allergic reaction to deoderant) and my BP is high AGAIN. They tested 4 times, always high. I'm seeing my OBGYN this afternoon. Anyone else hear of anything like this? What on earth could it be? What happens if it comes back high again? I'm freaking out!

Just an update: I took the rest of the day off and spent it hanging out with my mom and talking things through. She kept on me about drinking water. Dr. Took my BP again later in the day and it was WAY lower! She says to relax, though she did schedule an additional appointment and suggest I take maternity leave a little earlier. Such a relief! Thank you all for your encouragement!

It keeps happening to me too! No medical reason other than the fact that I'm having twins. I drink tons of water(& eat ice)  it seems to help

After my first son dropped, my BP was constantly high at my appts. No pre-e though, and the dr had me lay down on my side and then took BP again, it was normal. Here it was little man's position, his head was pressing on an artery in my groin. That could be whats happening? Stress and/or pain can raise it too. Take care of yourself mama!

When mine was high the last pregnancy, I was put on bed rest until the end.

Calm down being stressed will make it worse. I had a similar experience my BP went as high as 180/110 and ob sent me to the er. All blood tests negative. BP went down and has stayed down for the last 3 weeks. I did have to see my Dr twice week till he felt confident that it was a one time deal.

I understand your grief. I've been monitored since about 24 weeks for preeclampsia. I have a family history of it. My BP never got higher than 140/90, but it would fluctuate a lot. Since I left work towards the end of March everything has mellowed out. No more major fluctuations. I watch my sodium levels, I drink lots of water, and I try to stay as active as possible. Try to stay positive and as calm and trust that your team is behind you and your little one!
