baby shower coming up, no friends to invite?

im pregnant and my oldest sis is also too. she wanted us both to do a babyshower together, and ask me if i have any friends to invite, but i realized i dont. i mean, i do have friends, but we dont even talk anymore, and its been hella long since weve talked. my sis is going to invite all her friends, while i dont have anyone but them. its because my hub never lets me have any social media, nor does he want me to go hang w my friends, unless hes there. but i never get to go cause i cant drive. he took away my freedom. anyways, i kinda dont want to do the babyshower w her, cause i feel like its gonna be awkward w all her friends there, while i dont have anyone but my fam. i think id rather just throw one myself w both mine and mine husbands family. what should i do? should i just do one w her or throw one myself?

I'm sorry to say this but it seems like more of the issue is your husband. He has completely isolated you to the point where you have no one besides him. I think that's something you need to deal with and figure out first. Especially I don't know if you already have any children, or this is your first but having a child with him will probably make him more controlling. I say have the baby shower with your sister, meet her friends if you don't know them, and see if you might make some friends for yourself. I don't like saying you need to leave your husband, but please reflect on your relationship and make sure that it's a healthy one. You don't want to bring a child into an environment where he has such control over you, that you no longer have your friends.

I hope you realize you’re in an abusive relationship and should seek help.GO TO THE SHOWER. You need all the support you can get. AND what do you mean he won’t ‘let’ you. You are free to do what you want. It’s his reaction to doing so that will really show you the kind if person he is.

And get yourself a driving license. You will need it for the kid anyway. Your sister knows you wont have many friends and is ok with it. You dont know if all her friends will know each other so no need to be awkward. You can always invite your old friends. Dont lock yourself more! Go and enjoy it! . :) sending love!
