my LO was mostly breastfed no bottles but on the rare days my mom would feed her at 2 months it was about 1.5 ounce in a sitting. breastfed babies tend to take in less than formula babies. At 6 months they start taking about 4 ounces. when you start bottle feeding most people don't practice paced feed and this is what causes the baby to drink more than they'd normally do at the breast.

My son is 9 months and he's always been a "snacker"... 2-3 ounces at a time.
